Exam Contingency Day 2022

The awarding bodies have designated Wednesday 29 June 2022 as a ‘contingency day’ for examinations. This is consistent with the qualification regulators’ document Exam system contingency plan: England, Wales and Northern Ireland – gov.uk/government/publications/ exam-system-contingency-plan-england-wales-and-northern-ireland.

The designation of a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations. We remind candidates that they must remain available until Wednesday 29 June 2022 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.

Mock exams March 2022

Dear parents and carers,

I need to inform you that the march mock exams have been cancelled.

In order to make more constructive use of time, we have put in place a bespoke timetable of catch-up sessions for year 11 students to attend on the week commencing 18th March.

The catch-up sessions are designed to meet the students' individual needs and would give them the best chance to complete an assessment task, coursework, portfolio, a unit of work or an outstanding topic, etc.
