Letter to Parents
I am writing to remind you that school will close for half-term on Friday 23rd October 2020 at 12.30pm. Students are expected to return to school on Monday 2nd November 2020.
Following a review of the Covid-19 risk assessment, I am pleased to inform you that from Monday 2nd November 2020 we will be returning to the usual school opening and finishing times as follows:-
- Monday – Thursday – 8.40am to 3.00pm
- Friday – 8.40am to 1.00pm
Usual transport arrangements will be in place to ensure students arrive to and from school safely and on time. This allows the school to return to a broader curriculum with specialised teaching which will benefit the students learning experience.
In addition, following a review of the Behaviour Policy, from Monday 2nd November 2020, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will be required to hand their mobile phones to their form tutor during morning registration (or to the school office if they arrive late). The phones will be returned to students at the end of the school day. Students in Year 10 and 11 may use their mobile phones during break and lunchtimes. We are also asking that students in Year 10 and 11 remain on the school site at all times – they will not be permitted to leave to visit the local shops.
Many thanks for your continued support
Mrs S Ash - Interim Headteacher
